Fulda. The cargo system has VTL Networked Transport Logistik GmbH completed his mission as planned table in two variants. Both are based on the determined values of the VTL Carbon Footprint insurance Network (NCF), which has since May 2011 TUV certified. First cargo system presented their VTL NCF at this year's transport logistic in Munich. The NCF was determined together with the Institute for Sustainable Transportation and Logistics (INVL) at the University of Heilbronn. Even now, the resulting tables were developed by the broadcast INVL by Prof. Dr. Dirk Lohre and Ruben Gotthardt.
The standard broadcast table contains average values of the family cargo, which are graded according to distance and weight, enabling the reading of CO2 emissions for shipments.
In addition to standard broadcast table and a customizable table was created. Each VTL partner or any transport shipping depot can enter their specific values in the table to calculate their own CO2 emissions and to be able to read.
The average survey values from the VTL system reflect an honest and practical values. Because VTL is in data collection have gone very far beyond the mere transport service: it was considered in addition to the handling and administration, were also included, such as fuel production, fuel manufacture, electricity production and CO2 equivalents. Also, business travel and commuting employees are included.
The so-called system boundary Scope 3 was therefore significantly broader than the 2012 EU-wide CO2 standards for the transport sector provides.
